A Little About Myself

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust...

Psalm 18:2

My Background

Personally, I have been married to my best friend Jean since 1968. We have two grown and happily married daughters, five wonderful grandchildren, and now a great-grandson. That might seem like a fairy tale setting, but we have encountered our share of challenges, hardships, and tests of our faith that form some of the background for what I write about.

Professionally, for the past forty-plus years, I have been an investment advisor and financial coach. I recently sold my wealth management firm so I could pursue my passion for helping people navigate their way through life transitions by teaching, speaking, writing, and coaching.

To help my clients prepare for retirement, I wrote a book titled The Encore Curve, Retire with a Life Plan that Excites You. I also developed a coaching workshop using principles from the book to help people navigate life changes and discover new purpose. You can find out more about my book and workshop here.

Words To Live By

Align Your Dream

What would happen if you assumed that your dream and God’s dream was the same dream? “Then you will know which way to go, since you’ve never been this way before.” — Joshua 3:4

Endure With Faith

From the fire, our faith is built. Through the fire, our faith is refined. By the fire, our faith is perfected. "The way in which you endure that which you must endure is more important than the crisis itself.” — Harry S. Truman

Guard Your Ears

Be careful who you listen to. You will eventually be shaped into the image of the loudest voice in your life. Be careful to never put a question mark where God has put a period.
